Being a fellow rugger, I remember what it was like getting money together for rugby. My dream then, as it is now, is to build a program that will allow HARC to compete for the Club Championship as well as possible Super League Championships on a yearly basis by allowing players to concentrate on playing as opposed to worrying about money and doing things such as concert security or relying on asking for corporate sponsorships. For using our real estate agents on home purchases and our services for writing mortgages Ball Park Mortgage can, and does, donate substantial sums to HARC. Over the course of the past two seasons just a couple of player transactions and leads have enabled us to donate over $2000 to HARC. This money can not only lower dues and cover greater operating expenses such as bringing in top flight coaches, pay for chartered buses to away games but it can build for a better future for the club by purchasing club land and facilities In other words, take the worry out of the players heads and allowing them to concentrate on winning.

We are looking to develop Houston rugby into one of the premier clubs not just in the rugby community, but in all sports clubs across the US. HARC could have the club and facilities that will bring not just top notch club action, but National Tournament hosting as well as involvement in bringing international matches to Houston. All it takes is participation from current players as well as our numerous alumni members.

My company and I want every past, present and future club member to know that we see HARC as an extension of our families. We remember seeing the kids of alumni playing at games. We bring our children out to games to see what a great sport we are involved with and get them interested in playing as well. Being a first time home buyer is a little intimidating; however, this is a great time to be a home buyer due to the economic situation being a buyer’s market. Because of this, a few other friends of mine were also going through the first-time home buying process simultaneously to me, and I was able to compare my experience to theirs.

At the beginning of the process, I gave a brief idea of what I was looking for—price, location, etc. and I feel confident that I ended up with a perfect fit. Being a bit of a skeptic, throughout the process, I was constantly talking with other people and checking rates to be sure that I wasn’t getting the short end of the stick, and I never found anything or anyone that had a better deal. I also felt certain that Jay and Todd were working with what I wanted and weren’t trying to push their opinions on me. They were helpful in answering questions for me on matters which I didn’t completely understand, but supported opinions that I felt strongly about. There will always be bumps along the way, especially when making a decision as big as buying a house; however, in the end, I believe that I received a house perfect for me for the best rate available. I appreciate all the help I received from Jay and Todd and would recommend them to others.
